Cars of the Month 2000
I Should really call this "Cars of the month" because the member whose
name was drawn this month had three cars (not to mention the Explorer
he drives) to choose from….and well I liked them all!
Lynn Hubbard, who happens to be the Vice President of the Asphalt
Angels, has been a car enthusiast from way back.... he has acquired many
cars and then, sold them, or traded them off. He currently has the three
pictured above.
In 1996 he purchased the 74' Camaro. Currently in primer gray he plans
on painting it in Ultra White in the near further (maybe during one of the
Saturday Shop Sessions) It has a 406 engine and a turbo 400-which has
had a lot of work. It has 488 gears- and the tires are (check this out)
MT 33- 2150 X 15 - take it from me, they are huge!
In 1998 he bought a brand new Trans Am Convertible LS1. It is REALLY
NICE ! He used to have a 78' and always wanted to get another. This
One was bought without his better half's knowledge during a mid-life crisis.
"There I was minding my own business".
Lynn's most recent addition was a 69' Chevelle. He acquired this by
trading his 87' Monte Carlo. The Chevelle has a Summit 454/435 HP.
Turbo 400 trans. and Power Shot Nitrous. It also needs a lot of work.
Lynn has a great time with his cars but also stated "You never have
enough time to work on three cars".
